Federal Reserve governors and district bank presidents estimated that the core personal consumption expenditures price index (PCE) would grow 1.8 percent in 2021, based on their preferred measure of inflation. It wasn't the Fed's best predicting performance. According to the Labour Department, core PCE increased by 4.7 percent in November compared to the previous year.
