The Legislative Summit and Reception provided a forum for business leaders and API small business owners to engage with legislators around issues and policies impacting API and small businesses throughout California. Prior to the legislative visits attendees had the chance to hear from Assemblymember Sharon Quirk-Silva, Director of the Department of General Services Daniel Kim, Deputy Director of External Affairs for GO-Biz Sid Voorakkara, and Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs for the Department of Consumer Affairs Dennis Cuevas-Romero. Attendees had the opportunity to meet with legislators and staff to discuss issues pertaining to the following four policy areas: cannabis, education and workforce development, housing, and small business
The summit was followed by a reception at Café A Cote, where there were more than 70 people in attendance. Members of the legislature that were present were, Asm. Steven Choi, Asm.
