Gene is a principal in Eng Ventures LLC, a privately held real estate holding company, where he is responsible for all financial matters including the preparation of financial statements, filing of tax returns and other compliance related issues. Prior to his involvement with Eng Ventures, Gene was Vice President – External Affairs for Verizon California Inc., where he was the executive responsible for overseeing Verizon’s philanthropic and other strategic initiatives and programs in California and 11 other states in the West Area.
Gene is a native of the Pacific Northwest and earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Dallas and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Washington and has been designated as a Certified Public Accountant.
Gene is active in the community and currently serves on the board of directors of the California Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce, and the Korean Health, Education, Information and Research Center. He is also a founding board member of the National Asian/Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship.
Gene and his wife Terri reside in Thousand Oaks, California and have two adult daughters.
