API Legislators Dinner | March 19, 2018
The API Legislators Dinner honors the API members of the California State Legislature and offers them an opportunity to discuss their policy priorities for the upcoming legislative season with the CAPCC Board of Directors and staff. This event aims to create and maintain relationships between the API Caucus and the API community and support the success of API businesses throughout California.
Legislative Summit and Reception | April 10, 2018
The Legislative Summit and Reception provides a forum for business leaders and API small business owners to engage with legislators around issues and policies impacting API and small businesses throughout California. Summit participants will have the opportunity to participate in a briefing from the Office of the Governor on his legislative priorities. Attendees have the opportunity to meet with legislators who can speak to their concerns on select policy areas including procurement, workforce development, and international trade. The summit is followed by a reception to socialize with policymakers, policy influencers, state agency representatives, API business owners, and community leaders throughout the state.
Listening Tour with Assemblymember Phil Ting | May 25, 2018
The Listening Tour with Assemblyman Phil Ting was an opportunity to discuss the priorities and challenges of the local business community and the organizations that work to support them. Some of the issues and challenges that were discussed were: adequate housing, empty storefronts, gig economy, homelessness, and rising rents.
Minority Women’s Business Conference | September 6, 2018
This event brings together professionals across all sectors who play a crucial role in building a more inclusive and diverse professional landscape in California. Female leadership working on policy, supplier diversity, and global connectivity are inspiring the next generation of women entrepreneurs, and this event offers a daylong opportunity to discuss the challenge and opportunities they face and their vision for the future.
California Policy Summit | November 14, 2018
The California Policy Summit connects the business community with policymakers, industry leaders, and subject matter experts for an engaging conversation around policy issues that impact California’s communities and economic growth. As the fifth largest economy in the world, policy decisions at the state level have both local and global impact. The CalAsian Chamber recognizes that inclusive and informed policy dialogue allows for greater understanding and coordination across many industries, as well as new opportunities for local businesses to drive innovative solutions in our increasingly global economy.
